IMPORTANT: The Optical Science and Technology Center and Microfabrication Facility are being retired after fall 2018 and their services reconfigured under the new Iowa Center for Research, Exploration, and Advanced Technology in Engineering and Sciences (Iowa-CREATES) and Materials Analysis, Testing, and Fabrication (MATFab) in the Iowa Advanced Technology Laboratories (IATL) in spring 2019. Director's Message

Welcome to the University of Iowa Microfabrication Facility. Our facility houses a suite of state-of-the-art equipment for micro and nano-fabrication in an ISO 5 cleanroom. We provide open access, hands-on training and courses to University of Iowa users from several departments and to external users from both academia and industry. We highly value our users and we strive to offer an excellent facility-user experience.
